Faculty of Technology held the "2024-2025 Academic Year Opening Ceremony" with wide participation.

The event, which took place at the Tashkent Conference Hall, was attended by our Rector Prof. Uğur Ünal, Vice Rectors Prof. Hasan Tezer and Prof. Serhat Karyeyen, Dean of the Faculty of Technology Prof. Musa Atar, Vice Deans Assoc. Prof. Mustafa Bahadır Özdemir and Assoc. Prof. Orhan Kaplan, General Secretary Mustafa Afşar, faculty members, guests, and students.

The program began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by a musical performance. In his opening speech, our Rector Prof. Uğur Ünal stated, "Founded in 1926 with the vision of becoming a university that produces science at the national and international level and leads in technology and the arts, Gazi University’s Faculty of Technology, with its deep-rooted tradition, undertakes an important mission as an educational, teaching, and research center that uses the power of science and technology to solve societal problems and trains our students as the leaders of the future."

Rector Prof. Uğur Ünal emphasized that the successes of the Faculty of Technology should not be confined to its internal dynamics and concluded his speech as follows: "Our common goal must be to elevate our university to higher ranks on both the national and international stage. We will move forward with firm steps along this path together with our students, faculty members, and all staff. I wish the new academic year brings us all health, success, peace, and happiness. I hope your achievements continue."

In his speech, Dean of the Faculty of Technology Prof. Musa Atar expressed their great excitement for the new academic year. He shared information about the Faculty’s academic and administrative structure, noting that the Faculty of Technology has a history spanning 87 years.

Highlighting that the Faculty of Technology raises competent engineers who are committed to the core values of our Republic, Dean Prof. Musa Atar pointed out that the Faculty is among the leading educational institutions in Turkey.

Dean Prof. Musa Atar also mentioned that the Faculty of Technology admitted a total of 907 students for the 2024-2025 academic year and concluded his speech by thanking our Rector Prof. Uğur Ünal for his support.

After the opening speeches, a robe ceremony was held, and certificates were presented to the faculty members who retired and the students who ranked highest upon entering the faculty. The program concluded with a group photo session.
