Beyza Saral, a senior student at the Faculty of Architecture of our university, has won a scholarship with her story "Nature-Friendly Paragliding". Beyza Saral, won the Arkitera Travel Scholarship, Turkey's first travel scholarship in the field of architecture, sponsored by the Swiss plumbing giant Geberit.
The theme of the scholarship, which was organized online this year, was "Technology for the Conservation of Natural Resources". Within the scope of the theme, in the name of improving the natural resource crisis process in the world, participants were expected to question the technological solutions applied in urban areas and buildings and in this regard present their predictions on what can be done in the future in a 16-page publication.
Selected as the 2021 scholarship student, Beyza Saral's fascinating project themed "Towards the Journey" was awarded by the jury. In her work, Saral explains the use of technology for the protection of natural resources through the principles of paragliding, since nature is the source of paraglyding and a physical path is not required. Stating that natural resources should be used consciously from a young age, Saral will convey the concept of "Technology for Nature" in the form of a children's book.
We congratulate our student Beyza Saral for her scholarship and wish her continued success.
