The results of the 2022 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) have been announced. The Shanghai Ranking rating agency announces the top-performing 1000 world universities every year based on Nobel prizes, research output and academic performance of the teaching staff. Gazi University continues to maintain its successful performance by being in the 901-1000 worldwide band this year as it was last year.

Looking at the rankings for Turkey, only 11 universities from state and foundation universities operating within the body of the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) are listed in the 2022 Shanghai Ranking ARWU list. Gazi University has proved its successful academic performance once again by being placed in the 6-11 band among these universities.
