U.S. Embassy Turkey Education Committee Roger Cohen attended the sixth "Science Conferences" organized by Gazi Faculty of Education. Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, Dean of gazi Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Mahmut Selvi, as well as English teachers, teacher candidates, experts and students working at various levels in seven different regions of Turkey attended the conference, which focused on professional development opportunities during COVID 19. The conference was moderated by Associate Professor Dr. Müzeyyen Nazlı Güngör, Deputy Coordinator of Social Affairs at our University.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Yıldız, who gave the opening speech of the conference, thanked Roger Cohen for his participation, reminding that the Faculty of Education continues to hold two important events: "Tuesday Conferences" and "Science Conferences". Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız said that experts in the field were invited within the scope of science conferences.

Roger Cohen began his speech by congratulating the 95^th anniversary of the founding of our University. Reminding that the U.S. Embassy's Office of English Education and Gazi University have been collaborating for many years, Cohen said the two institutions have also worked together on many useful projects. Roger Cohen stated that the relations between our university and the U.S. Embassy are very important for the U.S. Embassy, and that a U.S. teacher from the U.S. Embassy will work in English education at our university next year Cohen added that he was happy to attend the conference.
