Our University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Kemal Yıldırım received the silver design award from the Muse Design Awards held in the USA in the architectural design category with his design named HittiteSun Bus Stop.                                                                            

Regarding his award-winning design, Prof. Dr. Kemal Yıldırım said: “The design of the Ankara bus stop was inspired by the dome form and the historical Hittite Sun Course. The bus stop protects the passengers against external influences such as traffic accidents, sun and rain, thanks to the strengthened steel plates used in the carrier frame and carbon fiber reinforced composite surface coating material, while at the same time it has a shell that presents a strong connection with the historical texture of the city. There are four openings for passages on both sides and back of the shell, and a seating element in the inner middle. With the solar panels used, the necessary energy will be provided for night lighting and information screens."
