Our university continues to make academics proud of their achievements. Organized by the Turkish Patent and Trademark Authority at the 2^nd National Universities Patent Competition, Gazi University Mechanical Engineering Department Lecturer Researcher İbrahim Ülke was third. Minister of Industry and Technology Mustafa Varank and Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız attended the ceremony hosted by Prof. Dr. Habip Asan, President of the Turkish Patent Trademark Authority.

Researcher İbrahim Ülke, who was able to leave behind seven finalists with his project "Dynamic Impact Dampener" and came in third, also won the 10,000 TL monetary prize. İbrahim Ülke was presented with the award by Minister Mustafa Varank and Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız. Commenting on the award he won, Researcher İbrahim Ülke said he was happy and proud to win the award on behalf of Gazi University.
