A cooperation protocol and Erasmus agreement covering education, academic and cultural issues has been signed between our university and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University.

At the protocol ceremony held in the New Senate Hall of the Rectorate,  our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Rector Prof. Dr. Cafer Caferov signed the cooperation protocol and Erasmus agreement. From the Gazi University delegation the ceremony was attended by Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Yücel Gelişli and Prof. Dr. Fazlı Polat, Rector's Advisors Prof. Dr. Fahri Temizyürek and Dr. Ahmet Bilal Dostbil, Gazi Education Faculty Dean  Prof. Dr. Mahmut Selvi, Education and Foreign Relations Institution Coordinator Prof. Dr. İhsan Kalenderoğlu, Director and Deputy Director of Gazi TÜRKDAM Prof. Dr. Alev Çakmakoğlu Kuru and Prof. Dr. Bülent Aksoy, Deputy Director of Gazi TÖMER Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt, Gazi EPAR Director Assoc. Dr. Mahmut Çitil, Education and Foreign Relations Institution  Deputy Coordinator Research Assistant Dr. Fatma Nur Fişne, Secretary General Lect. Ragıp Akyürek, Deputy Secretary Generals Raşit Yıldırım and Mehmet Ali Özkan. From the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University delegation, Azerbaijan Ankara Embassy Educational Counselor Prof. Dr. Necibe Nesibova, Vice Rectors Assoc.Prof. Eldar Aslanov and Konul Pirverdiyeva, Deputy Dean Dr. Konul Hasanova and Foreign Relations Manager Gunay Maharramova were present at the ceremony.

Before the protocol signing ceremony, the delegations participated in the program that was organized on the occasion of the second anniversary of  "November 8 Azerbaijan Victory Day" in partnership with Azerbaijan Mingachevir State University and KTO Karatay University.  Speaking at the online program, Education Counselor Prof. Dr. Necibe Nesibova said, “This victory, announced by President Ilham Aliyev in honor of the victory in the Karabakh War in the Republic of Azerbaijan, is of historical importance. Our common victory is celebrated everywhere.  I would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız and everyone who contributed in organising the celebration program that is to be held at Gazi University tomorrow.

Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız stated the following in his speech: “Today is an important day for us. It is the Second anniversary of the Karabakh Victory. To show our support for Can Azerbaijan in  the days of the Karabakh events we hung the flag of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Turkiye on the Gazi University building. At the same time we held a panel on Karabakh's Past, Present and Tomorrow at Gazi University. In this panel, we stated that the war would end in victory and that the lands that had been under captivity for thirty years would be freed. Today in this program we are guests upon the invitation of  Mingachevir State University Rector Prof. Dr. Şahin Bayramov. A celebration program will take place at our university tomorrow. I would also like to thank KTO Karatay University Rector Prof. Dr. Fevzi Rifat Ortaç.”

Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Rector Prof. Dr. Cafer Caferov made the following statements in his speech: "We are on the eve of the victory of a great holiday. We organize many different ceremonies in Azerbaijan. We will celebrate this day in Turkiye at Gazi University. I would like to thank  KTO Karatay University Rector Prof. Dr. Rifat Ortaç and Mingachevir State University Rector Prof. Dr. Şahin Bayramov for the celebration program that has been organized online on the occasion of this cooperation. Turkiye has achieved great success in many fields. Gazi University is one of the institutions leading Turkiye to a better future. I would like to thank Gazi University for welcoming us here today. I wish the inter-institutional academic cooperation to be beneficial.”

After the online program, the promotional film of Gazi University was shown. After the screening of the film, the representatives of the delegations met each other and expressed their hopes and good wishes. At the end of the protocol signing ceremony, our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız and Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Rector Prof. Dr. Cafer Caferov presented gifts to each other. In addition, our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız presented a sapling certificate within the scope of Gazi University's afforestation works to the representatives of the Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Delegation. The ceremony ended with a collective commemorative photograph.
