The signing ceremony of the license transfer of "Theraphyto Oral Care Spray", which is the first product of our University licensed by the Ministry of Health and based on the commercialization of the patent with university-industry cooperation, was held. At the signing ceremony held in the Rectorate's Previous Senate Hall; Our Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ramazan Bayındır, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. İlkay Erdoğan Orhan, representative of Theraphyto firm Galip Altıntaş and Vice Secretary General Lecturer  Ragıp Akyürek took part. Theraphyto oral care spray (mouth defense spray); recieved an award in the innovative product category (honorable mention award) at the MESMAP INNOVA  International Award-Winning Medicinal and Aromatic Plants R&D Project Market on November 20, 2021 which was held in partnership with Torbalı Chamber of Commerce and MESMAP-7 (7th International Mediterranean Symposium on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants). The first oral care spray with a formulation bearing propolis extract with essential oil of five plants grown in our country commercialized by the theraphyto company through the transfer of licenses under the patent owned by its inventor Prof. Dr. İlkay Erdoğan Orhan has become the first commercial product of our University based on university-industry cooperation. In the innovative product category, "Defense Mouth Spray" developed by Prof. Dr. İlkay Erdoğan Orhan and produced by Theraphyto received an honorable mention.
