Nogay Turks with Their History and Culture

The conference on “Nogay Turks with Their History and Culture” organized by the Middle East and Central Asia Research Center (GORAM) of our university was held.

The President's Chief Advisor Yalcin Topçu also attended the event held in Gazi Concert Hall.

Our university lecturer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dilek Ergönenç Akbaba presented her extensive research on Nogay Turks' history, culture, social life, traditions and customs. She also gave further information about where they live and what they do in the world.

The former minister, Halil Şıvgın, our faculty members and a large number of guests and students from our university attended the conference.

After the conference, Nogay Turk folk music singer Arslanbek Sultanbekov sang songs from his album “Dombıra” and students who filled the Gazi Concert Hall had a good time.
