With the contributions of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce, awards were given to the finalists of the photo contest titled 'Glorious Turk' s Glorious Flag' which was organised for the memory of our martyrs by Gazi University Gazi Education Faculty Fine Arts Education Department Division of Painting Education.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yaşar Aydemir, Head of Gazi Education Faculty Fine Arts Education Department Painting Education Divison Prof. Dr. Alev Çakmakoğlu Kuru, Head of Education Department of Fine Arts Prof. Dr. İsmet Doğan, ATO Parliament Chairman Nuri Gürgür, the former ministers of National Defense Sabahattin Çakmakoğlu, and a large number of students attended to the award ceremony held in Gazi Concert Hall.

Names of the 40 martyrs of Gazi University in the hall was read individually before the opening speech. When the names of the martyrs were read, the students representing them were saying 'I am here', and they stood up with the flag on their hand.

Çakmakoğlu Kuru, as a grandaughter of a martyr, said that she was happy and proud to host such a competition, and she wished God have mercy on all our martyrs.

After the speeches, awards ceremony started and awardees received their prizes from the relatives of the martyrs.
