Gazi University and University of Toledo have agreed to collaborate on scientific and cultural initiatives. Gazi University presented Turkish handicrafts to University of Toledo, and in return, University of Toledo sent examples of glass art, symbolizing the city. The exchange of gestures were presented to the parties by Prof. Dr. Nurdan Kalaycı from Gazi University's Faculty of Education. As a result of these efforts, the two universities plan to jointly organize an international conference in early 2024. This conference is seen as a significant step in strengthening scientific and cultural relations between the two institutions. The collaboration is being overseen by Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. Musa Yıldız.
