Faculty of Sports Sciences of our university, which is the pride of Turkey with hundreds of national athletes it has trained, has achieved another success. Burak Özdemir, a sophomore student at Faculty of Sports Sciences Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, won the U21 60 kg Kumite Championship at the White Hope Young Decree Under-21 Age Turkish Karate Championships held in Şanlıurfa. Burak Özdemir, the national karate player who won the national team selections held in the same competition, will represent our country at the European Karate Championships in Finland from between 20^th and 22^nd of August.

Burak Özdemir, who has brought great pride to our University with this achievement, has two European 3^rd place awards, one Balkan 2^nd place, four Turkish championships, three Turkish 3^rd and numerous international championships. We congratulate Burak Özdemir, a student of our University, for his achievements and wish him continued success.
