The Academician Tuna Akçay’s exhibition called ‘Anadolu Sevdası‘ in Kazan has received a great deal of attention

Tuna Akçay, Gazi University The Faculty of Literature The Department of Archeology academician and a well-known photograph artist with national / international tens of prizes, has performed his first Turkish activity in Russia after the airplane crisis.

The photograph exhibition titled as ‘Anadolu Sevdası‘ including 30 photographs was performed at the exhibition hall of the consulate  by our consulate general’s invitation in one of the Russian Autonomous Republics; Tatarstan, which has the capital city Kazan. Tatarstan members of parliament, officials, well-known artists participated in the exhibition. Thanks to the photograph’s soft power, the beauties of Turkey were transferred via the photographs and the speeches. Akçay also made a speech in the activity, starting with our consul general’s speech in Tatar. Akçay in his speech said: ‘Anatolian culture is not only Turkey’s borders but also Balkans, Caucasians, Middle East and Turkish States. Anatolia is everywhere that our ancestors set a foot on and produced civilization. Our country has a very rich geography with the aspect of cultural variety. Our archeological and historical fields are also the evidences of this richness.  Political crises can not be an obstacle for our conversation with you, our Tatar friends. Our   conversation, connection is deeper and has an inseparable value.’
