"Mosque Planning and Designing Workshop" was carried out by the Presidency of Religious Affairs and the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization within the scope of the cooperation protocol signed between our university and Presidency of Religious Affairs. The opening of the workshop, planned for two days and attended by academicians and specialists in the field, was made by President of Religious Affairs Prof. Dr. Mehmet Görmez, Minister of Environment and Urbanization Mehmet Özhaseki and our Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Uslan.

 

 

In his speech, Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Uslan referred to the importance of the mosques in our civilization and socio-cultural life and he emphasized the function of the last projects of the Presidency of Religious Affairs in our social life. Uslan said, "Our mosques, which have spread in many ways to the daily life of our people, are the places of worship, education and training, and consultation as well as structures that symbolize the supreme values ​​of Islamic civilization. Many values ​​such as love, tolerance, aesthetics, trust, reliance, unity, solidarity and equality that are more needed in our day are reminded of all humanity with the minaret, with the minaret balcony, with adornment, with dome, with mihrab, with minbar and with caligraphy on the walls of our mosques. He also added that "Mosque Planning and Designing Workshop" is very important in order to increase the awareness and sensitivity towards mosques and increase the technical infrastructure of the mosque plans.
