Business Idea Competition Awards Found Their Owners

The University's Technology Transfer Office held the 4th "Business Idea Contest" awards sponsored by Halkbank this year.

Young entrepreneurs who have technological and innovative business ideas are interested in racing which was held to promote entrepreneurship by providing a financial support and working environment that will help them pass on their business ideas.

Receiving the first mention at the award ceremony, the Director of the University Transfer Technology Research and Application Center Prof. Dr. Süleyman Özçelik stated that they consider not only the entrants but also all the projects in this competition. He added "We provide office facilities in Teknopark for the projects that we consider to be the priority among the projects participating in the competition. As a university, we are striving to give maximum support for the commercial viability of these projects ".

 

 

Our Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Uslan emphasized that Gazi University is a Turkish brand and said, "Our aim is to carry this brand even higher with high added value outputs. As a university, we have a wide range of activities both nationally and internationally. Some time ago, we opened the Chinese Specialized Library in our central campus. We have also come to the last point in our efforts to develop and produce three-dimensional printer technologies  and even carry out doctoral programs in our university about these technologies  with the support of the Ministry. We have a lot of support for this big project. Gazi University continues to develop not only technology but also healthy related projects in our center. In addition, we are  implementing the agreement that was signed  under the African Support Program in May. We believe that this project will contribute greatly to the promotion of our country in the African continent and the Mediterranean basin."

 

The projects and teams that are awarded the prize and honor in the contest where 61 projects are participated consist of the following names:

1st prize:

Alaattin Tamer Cengiz and Mehmet Yiğit Aşalı with the project "Projection Apparatus"

 

 2nd prize:

Ali Riza Aktaş and Gülşen Aktaş with the project "National Radar Absorbent Pigment Production'" 

 

 3rd prize:

Fatih Yıldırım with the project "Design of Dynamic RFID Assisted Product Security System and Prototype Manufacturing"

 

Honorable Mention Awards:

Ramazan Öter, Özcan Akçeşme, Murat Karataş and Yunus Abdullah Biricik with the project "Training Robot"

 

Bilal Canatar  with the project "Acoustic Based Direction Estimation in Shooting Estimation Systems"

 

Tahir Emre Yalçın with the project "Rapid Nano Emulsion Formulations for Use in Wound and Burn Treatment"
